Why I Built an AI Platform to Fix M&A

After 15 years on both sides of the deal table, I saw the same broken process over and over. Here is why I built BIZLINXAI — and what I am trying to change.

Why I Built an AI Platform to Fix M&A

I have been on both sides of the deal table. I have sold franchises for Fortune 500 companies. I have bought, scaled, and sold a franchise of my own. I have worked as an M&A consultant, helping business owners navigate the sale process. And in all of those years, I kept seeing the same thing: a process that was fundamentally broken, and a set of incentives that ensured it would stay that way.

That is why I built BIZLINXAI.

What I Saw That Others Ignored

When I was selling franchises for large companies, I watched buyers make decisions based on incomplete information, broker recommendations that were driven by commission structures, and marketing materials that were designed to sell, not to inform. I watched people invest their life savings in franchise systems that were not right for them — and I watched those investments fail.

When I bought my own franchise, I experienced the other side. The due diligence process was inadequate. The matching process was driven by who the broker knew, not by what was right for me. The information I needed to make a good decision was either unavailable or buried in documents that were designed to obscure rather than illuminate.

When I worked as an M&A consultant, I saw the same patterns at a larger scale. Sellers going to market with businesses that were not prepared. Buyers wasting months on deals that were never going to close. Brokers optimizing for their commission rather than for the outcome. Deals falling apart in due diligence over problems that could have been identified and addressed months earlier.

The Idea That Would Not Go Away

In 2020, I had a realization that I could not shake: the technology to fix all of this existed. Machine learning could match buyers and sellers better than any broker. AI could analyze financial data and surface risks faster and more accurately than any human team. Automated verification could eliminate the unqualified buyers and the confidentiality risks that plagued traditional processes.

The problem was not the technology. The problem was that nobody in the M&A and franchise brokerage industry had any incentive to build it. The existing players were making money from the broken process. Disrupting it would mean disrupting their own business model.

So I built it myself.

What BIZLINXAI Is Trying to Change

BIZLINXAI is not just a better version of the traditional M&A process. It is a fundamentally different model — one that aligns incentives with outcomes rather than with transaction volume.

We succeed when deals close successfully. Not when they close at any price, but when they close at the right price, with the right buyer, and produce good outcomes for both parties. That alignment of incentives changes everything about how we operate.

We use AI to match buyers and sellers based on genuine compatibility — not on who is in our network or who pays the highest referral fee. We use AI to verify buyers before introductions are made — so sellers are not wasting time on tire-kickers. We use AI to accelerate due diligence — so deals close faster with fewer surprises.

And we use AI to give every business owner access to the kind of deal intelligence that used to be reserved for the largest transactions. The small business owner with $1 million in revenue deserves the same quality of deal support as the company with $50 million in revenue. AI makes that possible.

The Work Is Just Beginning

BIZLINXAI is not a finished product. It is a platform that is getting better every day — as more deals are processed, as more data is collected, and as the matching and analysis models are refined.

But the direction is clear. The M&A and franchise brokerage industries are being transformed by AI. The question is not whether that transformation will happen — it is whether the buyers and sellers who need it most will have access to it.

That is what I am building. And I am just getting started.
